Trekking Info

  1. Day 1 Islamabad/Rawalpind
    Arrival at Islamabad International airport and transferred to comfortable centrally located hotel. Reminder of the day is free for you to relax and recovered from long flight to Pakistan. in the after noon, for those who desire there will be a tour of Pakistan’s capital Islamabad and bustling bazaar of Rawalpindi. In the evening we have a welcome dinner where you will have the opportunity to meet your guide and other member of group. Overnight stay at hotel.
  2. Day 2 Fly from Islamabad to Skardu
    • Fly from Islamabad to Skardu (if weather allows). If flights are not available, travel by road (approximately 18-20 hours). • Spend time in Skardu, a beautiful town that serves as the starting point for the trek to K2 Base Camp. • Rest and finalize preparations for the trek.
  3. Day 3 Drive from Skardu to Askole
    • Take a jeep ride from Skardu to Askole, which will take about 8-10 hours on rough mountain roads. • Askole is the last village before entering the wilderness. It is the starting point of the trek to K2 Base Camp.
  4. Day 4 Drive from Skardu to Hushe
    Drive to Hushe by jeeps via 6-7 hours 120 km. Hushe is starting point of our trek. It is a spectacular drive from Skardu to Hushe. The jeep road crosses the Shyok River and passes the villages of Khaplu, Macholo, Kanday and Khane.
  5. Day 5 Trek from Askole to Jhola
    • Begin the trek from Askole to Jhola, located around 3,100 meters (10,170 feet). • This part of the trek goes through rocky paths, and you will cross the Biafo Glacier. The trek can be tough, but the views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers make it worthwhile. • Set up camp at Jhola and rest.
  6. Day 6 Trek from Jhola to Paiju
    • Continue trekking from Jhola to Paiju, which is about 3,400 meters (11,155 feet). • Paiju is a popular stopping point along the trek, located near the Baltoro Glacier. Along the way, you will get stunning views of Broad Peak, Rakaposhi, and other peaks in the Karakoram Range.
  7. Day 7 Trek from Paiju to Goro II
    • Continue your journey from Paiju to Goro II, situated at 4,200 meters (13,780 feet). • The trek through the Baltoro Glacier is challenging, with rocky terrain and glacier crossings. The area is remote and offers some of the most spectacular views of the Karakoram.
  8. Day 8-11: Trek from Goro II to K2 Base Camp
    • From Goro II, the trek to K2 Base Camp takes about 4-5 days. • You will continue trekking across glaciers, rocky paths, and moraines. The trek can be strenuous as the altitude increases, and climbers will experience thinner air. • Upon reaching K2 Base Camp at around 5,150 meters (16,896 feet), take some time to rest and enjoy the incredible views of K2 and surrounding peaks, including Broad Peak, Gasherbrum peaks, and others in the Karakoram Range.
  9. Day 12: Rest and Explore K2 Base Camp
    • Spend a few days at K2 Base Camp acclimatizing and taking in the surroundings. This is a chance to relax, enjoy the mountain views, and rest from the long trek. • Explore the K2 Base Camp area and interact with other climbers who are attempting the summit or simply resting.
  10. Day 13-16: Trek Back from K2 Base Camp to Askole
    • After spending time at Base Camp, begin the return trek to Askole. • The descent is easier than the ascent, but the journey still involves glacier crossings and rocky trails. The trek back will take several days. • Camp each night at stops along the way, including Goro II, Paiju, and Jhola.
  11. Day-17: Drive from Askole to Skardu
    • Once back in Askole, take a jeep ride back to Skardu (approximately 8-10 hours). • Rest in Skardu and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the town.
  12. Day-18: Return to Islamabad
    • From Skardu, either fly back to Islamabad or take the long road journey (depending on the weather and flight availability). • Rest in Islamabad and prepare for your flight home.
